Family Reconciliation & Mediation Program (FRMP)

If a young person’s family has fallen apart, this program provides free support. There is no cost to the young person or their family.

About the program

  • Run by Melbourne City Mission (MCM)

  • Helps repair and rebuild family relationships when conflict has put a young person at risk of homelessness

  • Kerrianne provides counselling and mediation support as a registered FRMP worker

  • Fully funded — no cost to the young person or their family

Who can access it?

  • Age: 16 to 25 years

  • Situation: at risk of homelessness, or already homeless

  • Reason: family conflict is a big part of what’s going on

  • Location: East Gippsland and nearby areas

Who can make a referral?

  • Youth workers and case managers

  • School counsellors and wellbeing staff

  • GPs and health workers

  • Housing and homelessness services

  • Social workers and family support services

01  Check eligibility  —  young person 16–25, at risk of homelessness, family conflict a key factor

02  Fill in the referral form  —  download it from the website or contact Kerrianne

03  Send it to Kerrianne by email  —  she will respond within 2 business days
